Customer Reviews

Exodus Over-Ear Headphones is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 55.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible quality Broke after a few months. Can’t get a replacement cause they are sold out. They reimburse you with a gift certificate that expires in 6 months for a bunch of stuff I don’t want. Would not buy a House if Marley product again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Accurate sound!! I’ve had these for a while, and the massive drivers provide a very accurate, low distortion, and balanced sound. The construction is super high quality, the cups feel great, and they’re not too heavy for how large they are. While they sound great, they only sound great through an auxiliary cable. I refuse to use these headphones through Bluetooth because, as a result of the accurate drivers, the distortion is very obvious - it sounds like an AM radio compared to a cable. And even when using a cable, the biggest limiting factor for sound quality is the music file size. Overall, the headphones are still a great choice for at-home, casual listening, or perhaps even for music-production.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality and Sustainability You'll be happy about owning the Exodus headphones. The House of Marley takes the extra effect to bring quality and sustainability to the same place. Using material like steel, wood, aluminum, and leather resourced in an earth-friendly manner. My first thought on the sound was how live the music sounded. I remember feeling like being in a wooden music hall. The clear and rich bass sound makes the music sound that much more alive. The snug but super comfortable fit makes these perfect for moving around getting work done or taking a break from the daily rat race.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Long battery life These head phones have lots of battery life. I connect to my phone using bluetooth and listen to these while I work and they last for days. For reference I use a moderate volume and never "blast" them (I'd like to be able to hear when I am older). The are well made and comfortable to wear for extended periods of time. The sound quality is excellent. I do wish they would add a tad more padding on the head rest.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing sound These headphones are amazing. I only use over ear headphones, I hate on-ear and in-ear. These are very comfortable and the sound quality is excellent. I use headphones on my laptop for video streaming and music every single day, and these are much better than the ones I used to use. Everything sounds so clear and sharp. I love them. And they are so sleek, I love the gold.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to connect. Great sound The style of this product is great. I have a hard time finding headphones will full ear coverage and the Exodus headphones accomplish just that. They were easy to connect to our internet and the sound quality was clear even at high volume. My only complaint is the adjustable sizing of the headphones. They don't extend as far as other brands of the same style. If you're looking for noise cancelling headphones, these do not block out background noise.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these Wireless Headphones I love these Marley Exodus over the ear headphones. They come with a nice black pouch, 2 jacks for the headphones. Once you charge your headphones and set up the bluetooth to your device you are set for 36 hours of wireless listening. There are controls on the headphones that allow you to turn it off, pause it and turn it up and down. The ear phones are soft and did not hurt my ears even after hours of wear. I really enjoy wearing these when I travel, it is so nice to be free of wires and not have the pain of regular earphones.

Is there any issue with sound leaking out? I had a pair of over the ear headphones from HoM that I loved but you could hear the music I was listening to if you were standing next to me, even when the volume was low.

Asked by: HoM Fan
Thank you for your question. Please visit one of the retail locations we sell our products at to try them out for yourself to see if you experience the leaking of sound.

What button controls are on the headphones? For example, I own the Liberate XLBT which has buttons to change the volume and skip songs. Do these headphones have the same functions?

Asked by: HannahC
Thank you for your question. All functions can be located in the manual. The headphones allow you to play/pause, answer calls, volume up and down, and skip/reverse track.

Should of came here and asked before I bought but here goes. Can these be used for karaoke apps on IPhone, IPad and Androids?

Asked by: Crazzzy
Unfortunately, this would depend on the app. The microphone is designed to be used on both iPhone and Android.

Currently own the LIBERATE XLBT headphones and love the sound of them. Are the EXODUS cans cushions larger than the LIBERATE XLBT, specifically the opening for the ears? LIBERATE cushions are a little too small for my large ears.

Asked by: Spaz
Yes the cusions are way larger, its like comparing a Razer Thresher to a HyperX Cloud IIs. The cusions are way better and this pair has a longer battery life.

So I have had these headphones for a while and just recently had a friend call me over facetime. Right after the bluetooth stopped connecting. Not the iPad’s end as they dont connect to anything and do not make the noise or the light when turning on.

Can the USB-C cord plug straight into lets say a Google Pixel USB-C port and work as headphones plugged directly in?

Asked by: Perkuless
Yes! I have a Pixel 2 and used the aux cord adapter that came with my phone. I attached it to the end of the aux cord included with the headphones and then plugged it into my phone.

Can I use this for the studio? Like an interface? Thanks.

Asked by: Carlos
I would not recommend these for studio/mixing purposes. Yes they may sound great in some cases (like in a public place where there are things going on around you to block out the imperfections). For $200, you have such a wide range or options for studio headphones, including the Audio Technica M50xs, the Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pros, and Sennheiser HD 599s, which are all under 150-200 bucks depending on where you get them. The main reason i would not suggest these for a durable and reliable pair of studio headphones is because these are not labled nor built for a studio environment, and don't have the capability to withstand the amount of sheer girth that a music studio can put out, even if its only a bedroom studio running from a 2015 Macbook, it still won't cut it. Especially if you're creating music, you NEED to have the most accurate sound possible, and this pair just doesnt cut it. Hopefully this helps, feel free to ask more questions.
