Customer Reviews

Stir It Up Turntable is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 21.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Response Has very good sound quality. Nice tone arm and cartridge. Has accurate tracking and platter speed. In response to Ryans' review, there's lots of people who don't agree with him...lots of "thumbs down" clicks on his review. He probably hooked it up wrong and is blaming his incompetence on the turntable. Since he didn't explain what the symptoms were, i.e., static, low volume, skipping, too much high end, too much low end......we can consider Ryans' negative post as fake by a troll working for the competition. One Love :-)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from stopped working I purchased this turntable and it worked well for three weeks and then out of the blue it just stopped working. I tried the troubleshooting guide but that didn't fix it. I emailed the company but they never got back to me. Very dissapointed in only having it work for so short a time

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Design, Great Functionality! I was thoroughly impressed by this turntable which I received as a Christmas present this year. Upon further investigation I was even more impressed by the build quality and features included. The best part for me is the built in pre-amp & headphone option. This makes the turntable much more flexible and easier to connect to modern amps and sound systems. I am excited to use this turntable more and more!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tt for the price I just bought this little turntable last night after bringing a bunch of records I used to spin when I was kid.The installation was easier than expected and the looks of this little tt are to die for. The sound that comes out of this is clean and well defined. I am sure it can get better with a better cartridge and a separate preamp, but for the price, I am really happy with this.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good entry-mid level turntable for price similar sound quality similar to my technics turntable. 33-45 rpm switch is convenient. other brands at the same price don't offer that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use, sounds great! I've been looking for an upgrade for some time now, and I found the perfect unit. Great design, easy to use functions make the stir it up turntable a must for vinyl lovers. The best part is the sound. I can't imagine there being a unit out there that would be worth purchasing for more money. Clearly exceeds my expectations. Way to go House of Marley.

It sounds fabulous, has some great features, nearly no set up, easy to use I bought it along with one of H of M’s portable speakers and it is such a rich and clean sound. Highly recommend this turntable and thier speaker.

Q & A

how to correctly setup a counterweight and tracking force for stir-it-up turntable ?

Asked by: Piorek
Hey, Piorek. The counterweight, assuming you've assembled it, for the stylus that the Stir It Up comes with has a tracking force of 2.5 to 3.5 grams, so you want to get it to about 3.0 grams. To do this you need to adjust the counterweight until the tone are is floating level, this is a little tough because this turntable doesn't give the tone arm much play, so you might have to tap it a few time until you're confident it's floating level with (or parallel to) the platter. At this point you should be at 0 grams, so take the face plate of the counterweight, but do not adjust the weight itself, and fix it to 0 grams. Now you should be able to adjust the back part and set it to 3 grams. I hope that helped.

We have Bose speakers and we want to hook them up to our turntable.  How do we do that?

Asked by: Lela
It depends on if your speakers are active or passive. Sorry, but there's not enough detail here for anyone to help you.
